Getting People Together
When the Ink and Fold Project first started out, we barely had enough people for all the organizations we were partnered with. But, as time went on, more and more people joined, allowing us to bring more origami to facilities that spanned the globe. With posters, social media, and the good ole’ grapevine, the Ink and Fold Project now creates enough origami for more than locations in three international countries and over 5 states.
Making the Crafts
The Ink and Fold Project provides all materials including yarn, crochet hooks, origami paper, etc. for members wishing to create a craft.*
Materials are distributed every week, and receiving members bring back their creative finished products to be sent out.
Boxes, Boxes, and more Boxes!
When we receive the beautiful crafts from our members, the Ink and Fold Project assembles boxes with assorted varieties of various origami types and styles, crocheted plushies or clothing, and more. Boxes are filled with a mix of folded cranes and cats to plushie bees and dragons. By mixing up what goes in each box, we can ensure that receiving organizations get a mix of everything with each package.
